- I am a GIS Technician for the 9-1-1 district in Midland, TX. I was first introduced to GIS when my current employer promoted me to the GIS Technician position. This was a challenge for me because I had no prior GIS experience. With guidance and a few training courses, I have matured in the position but am looking to have a better understanding towards every aspect of GIS.
